WIP: [ADD] Functions to validate configuration of the sensor

Supersedes !3 (closed).

TODO: update driver to recent standards

• Codestyle fix of struct ... by using typedef's
• Addition of functions to setup the sensor and directly verify its settings
• Function to check whether the who_am_i of the sensor is correctly
